About UsMy passion for computers started in high school. I was looking for a couple of classes to take, to fill my course schedule. A programming book was presented to me, and it looked simple. I added the computer programming class and another data processing class to my course work. From that point forward, I was hooked on computers. Over time my education about computers and computer programming increased, and I began working in the information technology field. My professional experiences educated and shaped me. It's this knowledge that I bring to every project. While being proficient in computers is important, I believe that it is just as important to understand how people relate to the computers on which they work. This includes the policies and procedures that guide them in their tasks required to run your business. It may not be the computer that is inefficient, but the way that it's used. Education is another area that has to do with how people relate to computers. If someone doesn't know how to use a computer, they will not want to use it. It's very easy to get caught up in the fear of using the tool. Once people learn that they are in control, tasks are performed in minutes, rather than hours. It's the sum total of these areas that makes Horner Consulting and Publishing a place to look when you need help with your computer issues. We are not about the hard sell or brow beating customers on what they should or should not do. By working with our customers, we create options and solutions for them. |
